The Range Rover Velar appeared once again on the streets, courtesy autohome.com.cn. This model was spotted in China.

The Range Rover Velar is the fourth addition to Land Rover’s Range Rover series of luxury crossover/SUVs. It measures 4,803 mm in length, 2,032 mm (mirrors folded)/2,145 mm (mirrors out) in width and 1,665 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,874 mm. The luxury SUV rides on the Jaguar F-Pace’s aluminium-intensive IQ platform.


The Range Rover Velar is available with five engines initially: 250 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder petrol, 380 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol, 180 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder diesel, 240 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder diesel and 300 PS 3.0-litre V6 diesel. Land Rover will add a 300 PS Ingenium petrol unit to the options later this year. 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system are part of the standard configuration.

Land Rover offers the Range Rover Velar in three grades: S, SE and HSE. Full Matrix-Laser LED headlights with signature daytime running lights, 22-inch wheels, flush deployable door handles, LED tail lights, digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch HD display, full colour head-up display, 20-way power adjustable driver and passenger memory seats with massage and heating/cooling functions, Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with two integrated 10-inch HD touchscreen displays and 1,600-watt, 23-speaker Meridian Signature Sound audio system are key features of the Velar.


Land Rover will reportedly launch the Range Rover Velar in India in H2 2017. Prices of the Velar may start somewhere between INR 70 lakh and INR 1 crore (ex-showroom).
