Volkswagen has launched the VW Vento Highline Plus
in India with prices starting at INR 10.85 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The
Highline Plus forms the top-end trim level and brings three new features to the
car.
The VW Vento Highline Plus is
instantly recognised with full LED headlamps that have integrated LED daytime
running lights. The 15-inch Zirkonia alloy wheels also remain unchanged from
the Highline grade.
The interior of the Highline Plus trim level is no
different from the Highline trim level. Regarding functional equipment, the
only advantage the Vento Highline Plus has compared to the Vento Highline is
the touchscreen infotainment system with reverse parking camera. It is worth
noting that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are unavailable even in this newly
introduced top-end grade’s infotainment system, or is satellite navigation.
The VW Vento Highline Plus is available with three
engine options. The base option is the 1.6-litre MPI naturally aspirated four-cylinder
petrol engine that produces 105 PS and 153 Nm of torque and sends power to the
wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. Above that, there’s the 1.2-litre TSI
turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine good for 105 PS and 175 Nm of torque.
It is paired to the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard.
Those preferring diesel power have the option of the
1.5-litre TDI turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 110 PS and 250 Nm
of torque. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and 7-speed DSG
automatic.
