The limited-edition 2017 Ford Ranger FX4 has been revealed. Based on the popular 4×4 XLT variant, the Ranger FX4 gets cosmetic tweaks inside and out, including ‘Stark Grey’ 18-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, black bonnet and tailgate decals, black grille, sports bar, rear bumper, side steps and door handles, along with leather-accented seats.

Other standard equipment from the XLT includes the company’s Sync 3 infotainment system, which features an 8.0-inch central touchscreen with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with compatibility for mobile apps like Pandora and Google Maps.

The Ford Ranger FX4 is available in four exterior colours; Frozen White, Ingot Silver, Magnetic (grey) and Shadow Black – the latter three being prestige finishes which are cost-options.

Starting at AUD 58,915 plus on-road costs for the manual and AUD 61,115 plus on-roads for the automatic, the Ranger FX4 will arrive in showrooms later this month – AUD 3500 more than the XLT on which it’s based.
