Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd have
launched the 2017 Honda CB Hornet 160R with new colour options. The bike has
been BSIV complaint and was the first Made in
India motorcycle to be BSIV ready.
The new colour options include Athletic Blue
metallic and Sports Red. Honda has done away with the more affordable solid
colour options. Total colours are now down to 4 with the other two being
Striking Green and Mars Orange, introduced in August 2016.
The Honda CB Hornet 160R is powered by a 162.71 cc
mill is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine now produces 15.04 bhp
(reduced by 0.62 bhp) of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 14.76 Nm of peak torque
at 6,500 rpm. Honda has even made the bike lighter, and while the standard
variant now weighs 138 kg, the CBS trim tips the scales at 140 kg (down from
140 kg and 142 kg respectively).
Other features in the 2017 Honda CB Hornet 160R
includes a digital instrumentation, 140 section rear tyre, X-shaped LED
taillamp and optional petal disc in the rear for the CBS trim.
The 2017 Honda CB Hornet 160R has been priced at INR
82,095 for the standard trim and INR 86,595 for the CBS variant (both prices
ex-showroom, Delhi).
