Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd showcased the 2017
Suzuki Gixxer BSIV and 2017 Suzuki Gixxer SF BSIV at the Suzuki Gixxer Day
celebration.
The 2017 Suzuki Gixxer models are powered by a 154.9
cc single cylinder, air-cooled mill coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The
carburetted engine is capable of producing 14.8 PS of maximum power at 8,000
rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The naked motorcycle is available
with the option of a rear drum (available only in Glass Sparkle Black) and a
disc brake trim.
Colour options for the Suzuki Gixxer include Glass
Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mira
Red/Glass Sparkle Black. The faired version of the motorcycle, the Suzuki
Gixxer SF, gets Disc brake all around with three colour options. These include
Pearl Mira Red, Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Mat
Black.
Fuel injection is offered only in the Suzuki Gixxer
SF, and colour options include Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic
Mat Black. The entire Suzuki Gixxer range in 2017 also gets Auto Headlamp On
(AHO) which is another safety feature set to be made compulsory by the
government.
The 2017 Suzuki Gixxer range has been priced at INR
86,421 for the naked motorcycle, INR 96,082 for the faired Gixxer SF and INR
100,145 for the Suzuki Gixxer SF FI (all prices ex-showroom, Mumbai).
