The 2018 Peugeot 308 GTi has been accidentally
leaked this week by the company’s Spanish arm on Twitter in a single image.
The single image shows the
updated hot hatch in Peugeot’s signature two-tone paint finish, though you’d be
hard-pressed to noticed any real changes.
It appears the 308 GTi gets a black version of the
more upright front grille and prominent intakes in the bumper like the regular
updated 308 range, along with a revised bonnet. While there’s no view of the
rear, it’s likely the 308 GTi will get similar LED tail-lights and a new rear
bumper treatment like the core line-up.
Expect the 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder
petrol engine to soldier on under the bonnet, though with a little more power
than the current 250 hp and 270 hp offerings. Also likely to
carry over is the six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive set-up,
with the more powerful model getting a Torsen limited-slip front differential.
