Borgward continues to expand its lineup in China. Spy Shots show the upcoming Borgward BX3, a new compact
SUV that will be launched on the Chinese car market in 2018.
Although is it is heavily camouflaged it is easy to
recognize as a Borgward, which is a compliment for the brand’s design language.
Note the typical shoulder line, belt line over the rear door, and of course the
giant grille.
The interior looks surprisingly simple with a manual
handbrake and without any sort of touch screen. Perhaps they will add a
standing screen atop the center stack later on.
Power will likely come from a 140 Hp 1.4 turbo and a
new 1.2 turbo with about 120 Hp. The BX3 will be positioned below the recently
launched Borgward BX5. Price will range from about
90.000 to 150.000 yuan.
