The Changan CS95 SUV has been launched on the Chinese auto market, looking very clean
here in white. Price starts at 159.800 yuan and ends at 229.800 yuan.
The CS95 is the largest passenger car Changan Automotive has ever made. It will compete with cars like
the Trumpchi GS8 and the Haval H8. Design clearly influenced by Range Rover. Large
overhang rear and front. The CS95 is available as a five or a seven-seater.
Power comes from a 2.0 turbo with a hefty 233 horses
and 380 nm, mated to a six-speed automatic ‘box, sending power to all four
wheels via Changan’s NexTrac AWD system. Interestingly,
Changan says that their self-developed TF-81SC gearbox can
handle up to 740 nm. They better prove that with a V8 version of the CS95. Dimension size is 4949/1930/1785 mm, and wheelbase is 2810 mm.
The dash is a bit too gray but Changan tried to sex
it up with some wood and a shiny panel on the center stack. There inside sits
the infotainment system with a 10 inch screen. The infotainment system comes
with a 360° camera system, Baidu CarLife and WiFi.
