The India-bound Ford Ecosport (facelift) has made
its Chinese debut ahead of its public showcase and price
announcement at the Auto Shanghai 2017.
The facelift is identical to the model unveiled at
the last LA Auto Show, featuring a redesigned trapezoidal radiator grille
flanked by bigger headlamps, sharp-edged fog lamps, and revised bumpers.
Exclusive to China, Brazil and Indian markets is the tailgate-mounted spare
wheel with a body-painted wheel cover.
Inside, the new EcoSport has a completely restyled
interior with a new three-spoke steering wheel, new instrument panel,
redesigned centre console, horizontal central HVAC vents, large MID flanked by
the new instrument dials, and Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system.
The China-spec Ford EcoSport will
pack a 2.0L naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine with 173 hp, and is
paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. A 4WD system and independent rear
suspension are equipped in the China-spec EcoSport.
