The new Haima S5 Young has been launched on the Chinese auto market. Price starts at 75.800 yuan and ends at 79.800 yuan. There in only one engine
available, a rather old 1.6 with 122 hp and 160 nm. The gearbox is
also old-fashioned: a five speed manual. No
automatic available. Power goes to the front wheels. Dimension size is 4195/1765/1637 mm, and wheelbase is 2560 mm.
Haima tried to make the S5 Young attractive for the
young by adding all sorts of wild lines to its design. This they complemented
with black wheel arches, black pillars, a sexy rear-window spoiler, roof rails
to attach the canoe to, and a shark fin antenna.
The interior are not bad. It has radio, a USB slot,
Bluetooth, a Haima connectivity system called SiViLink, and a cool image of the
car. It does not have Apple CarPlay or Baidu CarLife. The screen measures 8
inches.
Lights are trendily small. Door handles are a bit
weird, in body color with a black strip on top. No pipe tips in the bumper, real or fake. The pipe can be
seen on the right side just to the left of the right rear wheel.
