According to Quatro Rodas, prices of the Renault Kwid for Brazil will start from BRL 29,990. Renault Brazil will start accepting bookings from June 15, and launch in five variants: Urban, Life, Iconic, Zen and Intense.

Compared to the model sold in India, the Brazil-sped Kwid exclusively gets 14-inch gunmetal alloy rims, rear wiper and defogger, and body colored-ORVMs. The interior will feature a slightly redesigned centre console, with window, door lock and rear defogger buttons located under the 7-inch MEDIANAV display. It also gets a new instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer and tachometer dials, as well as a digital multi-info display.


Another significant difference is its safety features. The Renault Kwid in Brazil is 140 kg heavier owing to structural reinforcements with increased usage of high-strength steel. The Brazil-spec Kwid gets ISOFIX child seat anchor points, four airbags and ABS, which should help prospective buyers feel secure and assist the Brazil-spec Kwid to fare much better than the single star Renault Kwid (Indian version) in NCAP tests.

The dimensions will be more or less identical to the Indian version, which measures 3,679 mm in length, 1,579 mm in width and 1,513 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,422 mm. Powering the Kwid is a Flexfuel 1.0L 3-cyl engine with 79 CV & 10.2 kg.m of peak torque (gasoline), and 82 CV & 10.5 kg.m of torque (ethanol), which can be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox or 5-speed AMT.
