Spy Shots showing the Volkswagen Golf Sportvan Cross testing
in China, getting ready for its launch on the Chinese auto market later this
year. The transformation from Sportsvan to Sportsvan Cross seems to be a pretty
easy one; black plastic around the wheel arches and nothing else.
The Sportvan Cross made in China by the
FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. Price starts at 136.900 yuan and ends at 202.900
yuan. Engine option are 110 hp 1.6-liter, 110 hp 1.2-liter turbo, 131 hp 1.4-liter turbo, and a 150 hp 1.4-liter turbo.
The name is not yet totally sure. Volkswagen China
has a habit of using the word cross in front of the vehicle’s
name, like with the Cross Lavida. So this new car might as well be
called the Cross Sportvan.
