Car and Driver Brazil has posted new details on the VW Virtus (next-gen Polo sedan) as well as created a rendering based on the teaser unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The Virtus will come to Brazilian dealers early next year, while the next-gen VW Polo hatchback will come first in mid-October. VW Brazil has already confirmed that production will commence production in September at their São Bernardo do Campo (SP) facility. Virtus will be based on the MQB A0 platform and will have an overall length above 4.20 m and wheelbase of around 2.56 m, which is 10 cm more than the Gol-based VW Voyage. Boot space will also be 20L more than the Voyage, measuring 500L.

The VW Virtus will have a front-end copy-pasted from the next-gen Polo, save for a tweaked grille. Expect the cabin to have class-leading build quality, materials and equipment. For the Brazilian market, the Virtus’ engine options may include the 82 hp 1.0L MPI N/A, 105 hp 1.0L TSI turbocharged and a 120 hp 1.6 MPI N/A petrol engine.
