The 2018 model-year Jaguar F-Pace, XE and XF ranges
have become the latest recipients for Jaguar Land Rover’s new high-output
‘Ingenium’ 2.0-litre petrol engine.
Developing a healthy 300 hp of power and 400 Nm of
torque, the turbocharged four pot will arrive later this year across the F-Pace
SUV, XE medium sedan and XF large sedan model lines, claiming impressive
performance and efficiency.
In the smaller XE, the high-output 2.0-litre
unit sends the rear-wheel drive sedan from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds, while
returning a claimed fuel consumption rating of 6.7L/100km on the combined
cycle. The larger XF manages the benchmark sprint in 5.9 seconds, while using
6.8L/100km claimed on the combined fuel consumption cycle.
The F-Pace SUV with the 300 hp Ingenium motor goes from 0-100 km/h in a still-impressive 6.0 seconds, with fuel
use rated at 7.7L/100km. The new Ingenium petrol engine is paired exclusively
with a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission.
This latest update comes after sister company Land
Rover announced the introduction of a slightly detuned 290 hp version of the
2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine for the Discovery Sport and Range Rover
Evoque, set to arrive in Australia in the fourth quarter of this year.
The final
pricing and specifications for these models will be announced closer to launch
later this year.
