The 2018 Lexus LS350 has quietly broken cover this week, debuting at the Shenzen-Hong Kong-Macao international auto show in China. The LS350 will be powered by the same 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine found in other Lexus 350 models, such as the smaller GS350.

Outputs of 318 Hp and 380 Nm are quoted by auto-sina.com.cn, and the V6 engine will be coupled as standard to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

In China, the LS350 is expected to cost around 1 million yuan (US$ 196,530), which should make it substantially cheaper than its twin-turbocharged LS500 sibling, and should put it in direct competition with entry-level Chinese-market limousines like the Mercedes-Benz S320.

No images of the interior have been released yet, though going by the exterior shots from auto-sina.com.cn the LS350 will be available with a similar look inside and out to the LS500 and LS500h.
