The Cadillac CT6 has only been on the market for a
couple of years but it appears the company is already worked on a facelifted
sedan. Recently caught undergoing testing in Europe, this camouflaged prototype
doesn't reveal much but it appears the car has been equipped with a new front
bumper and a revised grille.
Speculation suggests the car will receive a modest
refreshing to more closely resemble the Escala concept. This seems plausible as
the concept previews the company's future styling direction and ads featuring
the car have drawn people into showrooms where they purchase a CT6.
Little else is known about the updated model but
rumors suggest the car could receive a high-performance variant or two. Nothing
is official but the company could potentially offer a CT6 V-Sport and a CT6-V.
The CT6 V-Sport would be the milder of the two and
it could potentially use an upgraded version of the car's twin-turbo 3.0-liter
V6 or possibly a twin-turbo V8. A CT6-V remains more of a mystery as it could
be powered by anything from a twin-turbo V8 to the 6.2-liter V8 that resides in
the Corvette Z06.
