The Japanese automaker has launched the five-door
version of the Civic FC in Indonesia, at IDR 438 million for the E variant
and IDR 399 million for the S variant.
The Indonesian-market
Civic hatchback is specified with a 1.5 litre turbocharged inline-four petrol
engine producing 172 PS at 5,500 rpm and 225 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm to
5,500 rpm, sent to the front wheels via Honda’s Earth Dreams CVT. As with
Thailand, there’s no six-speed manual option, which is available in the United
States and Europe.
Indonesia gets a seven-inch touchscreen with
wireless mirroring for Android and iOS devices in the E variant, while the S
gets HDMI support – both receive USB and auxiliary audio ports, and a
multi-function steering wheel with audio and telephone controls. The Smart Key
enables air-con control for remote activation, along with Smart Entry and
cruise control.
In terms of safety equipment, the Indonesian market
Civic hatchback includes Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist, Anti-lock
Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake
Assist (BA), and Brake Override System. The E variant gains six airbags, while
the S variant makes do with dual front airbags.
