Hyundai has launched the Hyundai Tucson Sport in South Africa featuring a more aggressive styling and upgraded performance.
The Hyundai Tucson Sport makes its presence felt
with a body kit consisting of front, side and rear skirts imported from South
Korea and Tiger Wheel & Tyre’s exclusive 19-inch black alloy wheels shod
with low-profile tyres. If that does not announce its arrival, the louder exhaust
note from the four chrome pipes sure will.
Under the bonnet, there is the
1.6-litre T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 201 hp and 295 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. A four-wheel drive system is not
offered, which means power is sent to the front wheels only.
The Hyundai Tucson Sport’s standard features include
automatic climate control, electrically adjustable leather seats, 8-inch screen
infotainment system with satellite navigation, reverse camera, cruise control,
rain sensors, driver, front passenger, side and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD
and ESP.
The Hyundai Tucson Sport is priced at R 499,900 and despite the after-market fitments clings on to the
seven-year/200,000 km warranty and five-year/90,000 km service plan (with
intervals of 15,000 km).
