While Lamborghini doesn’t have a ‘traditional’ color
like Ferrari does with red, yellow is certainly one of the brand’s most
distinctive color choices. Despite yellow looking horrible on more mundane
cars, Lamborghinis and yellow have always gone hand-in-hand. This Centenario is
no exception.
Recently delivered to Lamborghini Beverly Hills as
the third Centenario to arrive in the United States, the exterior paintwork is
unlike any other Centenario we’ve come across and will certainly stand out on
public roads.
Almost every single body panel has been painted
yellow except for the roof and a large portion of the rear fascia which is
instead a mish-mash of yellow, carbon fiber, grey and black. The Centenario is
based on the Aventador and its 6.5-liter V12 has been tuned to produce 770 PS and 690 Nm of torque connected to a seven-speed IRS
transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
Performance is naturally phenomenal, with the
Centenario sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and hitting a
top speed in excess of 350 km/h. It will be made in just 40 units, 20
coupes and 20 roadsters.
