With reports coming in about Nissan wanting to
double the number of Nismo-branded cars within the next five years, it was only
a matter of time before something new was on the horizon.
What you're seeing here is just a
styling package from Nismo, designed to fit the Nissan Rogue, or X-Trail as
people know it in Europe and Japan.
Since this is a Japanese launch, the car is dubbed
the X-Trail 20X Hybrid with the Nismo Performance Package, which in this case
adds new bumpers, side skirts and a large rear diffuser with red and black
accents circling the car.
It's also got large two-tone wheels, dual exhaust
tips, chrome door handles and a blacked out V-motion grille, as seen in these
images courtesy of brog.tomorrow01.
Inside, the Nismo Performance Package doesn't
exactly make the X-Trail's cabin as sporty as one would expect from a true
Nismo-tuned Nissan. While it's missing the sports seats, the Alcantara or
sporty pedal set, it does have a flat-bottom steering wheel, although to be
fair, that comes with the 2017 upgrade.
