The Nissan Titan ute has made it to Australian
shores as part of conversion specialist Performax International’s line-up.
Powered by a 5.0-litre turbo-diesel V8, the Titan develops a meaty 320 Hp of
power and 752 Nm of torque, with drive sent to an on-demand four-wheel drive
system via an Aisin-sourced six-speed automatic transmission. Those outputs
help the Titan achieve its 900 kilogram payload rating, along with a towing
capacity of 5.2 tonnes.
Starting at AUD 105,000 plus on-road costs for the
single-cab variant and climbing to AUD 139,000 before on-roads for the top-spec XD
Platinum Reserve crew cab with Bilstein suspension, the Performax Nissan Titan
joins other US-sourced pick-up trucks like the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra
and Toyota Tundra.
Headlining equipment features include a 2.0m x 1.62m
tray, a 120V power socket, an electric-locking tailgate 20-inch wheels,
360-degree camera system, underbody protection, vehicle dynamic control,
trailer sway control and tyre pressure monitoring.
Nissan's powerful Titan XD
four-wheel drive pick-up engineered by Performax International will make its
debut as the ideal towing partner at the Queensland Caravan Camping &
Touring Supershow in Brisbane this week.
Inside, the top-spec Platinum Reserve gets luxury
appointments like leather-trimmed front captain’s chairs with heating and
cooling, eight-way power adjustment with memory for the front seats, along with
electric steering wheel and exterior mirror adjustment with memory. Crew-cab
models also get a large locking compartment under the rear seat bench.
The right-hand drive
Nissan Titan vehicles are converted at the company’s factory in Gympie,
Queensland. The line-up is covered by a three-year warranty with 24-hour
roadside assistance, along with in-house service and parts departments, and a
national dealer network.
