Porsche has taken the wraps off the new 911 Turbo S
Exclusive Series. The special edition sports car has a Golden Yellow
Metallic exterior with carbon fiber stripes on the roof and hood. Designers
also installed carbon fiber side skirts and unique 20-inch central locking
wheels with Golden Yellow accents.
The rear of the car has been given a modest makeover
as Porsche installed a new rear apron and the rear wing from the Turbo Aerokit.
Other highlights include a carbon fiber ram-air scoop and a unique exhaust
system in black stainless steel.
The cabin comes nicely equipped with 18-way
adjustable sports seats which are covered in perforated leather upholstery and
feature Golden Yellow stripes. The color can also be seen stitched on the
headrests and on the Alcantara roof liner. Rounding out the interior highlights
are illuminated carbon sill plates, an individually numbered plaque, and carbon
fiber trim with cooper inserts.
Power is provided by an upgraded twin-turbo
3.8-liter flat-six engine that produces 607 PS and 750 Nm of torque. Thanks to the additional 27 PS, the car
accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/h.
To keep things under control, engineers installed
ceramic brakes, rear-axle steering, and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control. The
model also boasts the Sport Chrono package and the Porsche Active Suspension
Management system.
The car was built to celebrate the renaming of
Porsche Exclusive to Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. That change might sound minor
but production will be limited to 500 units nonetheless.
Interestingly, buyers will have the option of
purchasing a matching watch from Porsche Design. The watch is made from
titanium and features a black titanium carbide coating as well as a carbon dial
that is finished in the actual paint used on the car.
If that hasn't exhausted your bank account, the
company will also offer an Exclusive Series luggage set which includes two
hold-alls, a day bag, and a suit bag.
