The Renault Kwid was launched in Nepal in August last year, and then, its 1.0-litre model followed in May. In the latest, Advanced Automobiles, Renault’s authorised local distributor, has launched the India-made Renault Kwid AMT.

The Easy-R 5-speed gearbox of the car offers a clutchless driving experience that combines a manual transmission-equipped car’s efficiency and performance with the convenience of automated gear shifting. The gearshift dial is positioned below the infotainment system on the centre console and offers three drive modes: Reverse, Neutral and Drive.


The Renault Kwid AMT measures 3,679 mm in length, 1,579 mm in width and 1,478 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,422 mm and offers a high ground clearance of 180 mm. It is powered by the 1.0-litre SCe three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 68 PS at 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. Two grades are available to choose from RXT O and RXL. Two-tone glass grey ORVMs, black bumpers, MediaNAV infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB and driver side airbag are some of the key features of the car.

The Renault Kwid AMT is priced in Nepal from NPR 20,96,500 (INR 13,10,490.44).
