Renault India has unveiled a new line of special
edition Kwids under the banner ‘Live for More Collection’, which include
Sports, Race, Rallycross, Chase, Ziipp, Turbo and Classic. Renault India says
its has garnered 1,000 bookings and 10,000 queries in less than a week of its
introduction.
Each Kwid has a unique graphic design that suits the
name given to it and allows the buyer to personalise his purchase. It is
available in all 5 colours: Fiery Red, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver,
Outback Bronze and Planet Grey, and for all variants: 0.8L, 1.0L and 1.0L AMT
variants.
The Kwid can also further be personalised with
accessories such as chrome grille inserts, alloy rims, chrome door handles, mud
flaps, roof rails, illuminated sill plate, bumper protectors, and bumper
garnish.
The Kwid continues to offer two engine options: 0.8
SCe and 1.0 SCe. The 0.8-litre three-cylinder petrol engine produces 54 PS at
5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm, while the 1.0-litre three-cylinder
petrol engine develops 68 PS at 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm.
Both engines are linked to a 5-speed manual
transmission as standard, while the 1.0-litre SCe unit can be had with an
Easy-R automated manual transmission. The Kwid can average a fuel mileage of
25.17 km/l (0.8L), 23.01 km/l (1.0L) and 24.04 km/l (1.0L AMT).
The Kwid is available in four trim levels: STD, RXE,
RXL and RXT. Prices range between INR 2.65 Lakhs – INR 4.56 Lakhs (ex-showroom
Delhi).
