It didn’t take long for BMW to start launching new
products after the reveal of the all-new 2018 X3, and this time they kick
things off with a new electric mountain bike. Built by Specialized, this
limited-run special edition e-bike goes by the name Turbo Levo FSR 6Fattie.
The e-mountain bike comes with a 250-watt motor that
provides pedal assistance and also features 2.8-inch tires, an automatically
adjustable telescopic seat post and extra-short chain for more agile handling.
Specialized has fully integrated the power module
into the aluminum frame which comes finished in an exclusive Phytonic Blue,
which is the launch color of the BMW X3 as well.
A 504Wh battery pack features a practical docking
mechanism, allowing the owner to detach it and charge it separately, with the
BMW-designed charging cable also allowing in-car charging from the 12V socket
in the boot.
Sales will start this August from selected BMW
dealers and Specialized retailers, with prices kicking off at 5,200 euros
(US$ 5,800).
