Abarth unveiled the 595 back in 1960s and since the
model written a history full of record broken and victories. 50 years
later, the company prepares to celebrate the model’s 50th anniversary with the
unveiling of the special edition 595 50th Anniversary. The model will be
unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and will be limited to only 299
units.
The new 595 50th Anniversary will be offered in a
specially-developed liver that reinterprets the one used in the original 1963
595. The car is painted in a matte three-layer white paintwork, combined with
carefully-designed historical logos and graphics. The model comes also equipped
with Xenon headlights with dipped and driving light functions for improved
light emission and excellent performance in all weather conditions.
For the interior, the new 595 special edition adds
red leather sports seats with white inserts and red stitching, a dashboard
inspired by the one of the original car, and historical logo adorning both the
black leather steering wheel with red inserts and finder and the kick plate.
Under the hood there is a 1.4 liter T-Jet engine
with an output of 180 horsepower, making the 595 50 Anniversay edition the most
powerful 595 ever. The engine is mated to a "Abarth Competizione"
gearbox and a "Record Monza" variable back-pressure "dual
mode" exhaust system that considerable improves the engine’s sound and
performance.
The car sits on 17-inch alloy wheels in 695 Magnesio
Grey design and combined with Brembo 305 mm floating brake discs.
