Ford has revealed the 2018 Mustang will be priced from US$ 25,585 when it goes on sale in the United States this fall.

Costing US$ 400 more than the 2017 model, the updated Mustang comes equipped with a newly standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that produces 310 hp and 474 Nm of torque. It replaces the previous 3.7-liter V6 which developed 300 hp and 379 Nm of torque. Despite costing more than the previous entry-level Mustang, the new model is a bit of a bargain as the previous EcoBoost variant started at US$ 26,195 so owners are looking at a saving of US$ 610.

Unfortunately, that's where the saving ends as the 2018 Mustang GT starts at US$ 35,095 which is a US$ 1,900 increase from the previous year. That's a pretty steep jump but the car comes equipped with an upgraded 5.0-liter V8 that produces 460 hp and 568 Nm of torque which is an increase of 25 hp and 27 Nm. This enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds.

Last but not least, the 2018 Shelby GT350 will be priced from US$ 57,145 which is a US$ 1,000 increase from last year. It continues to be powered by a familiar 5.2-liter flat plane crank V8 engine.
