Honda Fit is arriving at dealerships
today, boasting a new look, updated tech, more safety features and a starting
price of just over US$ 16,000. The updated and even more connected Fit also adds a
new Sport trim to go with the two new exterior colors, dubbed Helios Yellow and
Orange Fury.
Looking at the new Sport model, you'll notice the
more aggressive front spoiler and rear diffuser, as well as the bright orange
pin-striping, 16" gloss-black alloys, chrome exhaust finisher and side
sill garnishes. Inside, it's got a black interior with orange contrast
stitching.
The 2018 Fit also gets the Honda Sensing suite of
advanced safety and driver assistance features, which is standard on EX trim
versions and above. The suite includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision
Mitigation Braking System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist
System and Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning. Also new is
the 7" touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is
standard on Fit Sport, EX and EX-L trims.
Powering the 2018 Fit is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder
i-VTEC engine, good for 130 HP and up to 154 Nm of torque.
The power unit works in conjunction with the re-tuned suspension, upgraded
steering and additional body reinforcements.
