BMW may have reserved its hardcore GTS badge for the
M4 but one current M3 owner wanted in on the action and has finished work on a
heavily customized M3 that takes inspiration from the M4 GTS.
As is often the case with projects like this, most
of the modifications aim to improve the exterior and interior designs of the
performance sedan and these changes start with an OEM hood straight from the
GTS. Looking even more brutish than the standard hood, this addition suits the
five-door perfectly and has been complemented by a GTS replica carbon fiber
front lip.
Elsewhere, the car sits on a set of HRE R101
lightweight wheels measuring 20x10 up front and 20x12 at the rear and finished
in gloss white. Putting white wheels on a white car isn't done very often but
in this case, it works surprisingly well, at least to our eyes.
Further visual modifications includes painted brake
calipers, a carbon fiber rear diffuser and decklid spoiler and a host of BMW
Performance interior parts, including a new steering wheel, alcantara shift
knob and boot, floor mats and armrest. There are also some minor performance
upgrades, namely a new exhaust with 102 mm tips, ECU flash tune and BMC
performance air filters.
