Dacia has made a series of updates to the Sandero
and Logan MCV, in Europe's largest right-hand drive market. The most
significant improvement is the addition of the 1.0-liter three-cylinder
gasoline engine to the Laureate trim of both cars. It produces the same power
as the 1.2-liter unit 75 PS, but it's said to be up to 10 percent more
efficient.
When equipped with the SCe 75 unit, the Sandero
returns 54.3 UK mpg (45.2 US mpg 5.2 l/100 km), in the NEDC combined cycle and
emits 117 g/km of CO2, while the Logan MCV achieves 52.3 UK mpg (43.5 US mpg /
5.4 l/100 km) and 120 g/km of CO2. Going from 0 to 100 km/h takes a very
long 14.2 sec and 14.7 sec, while top speed is 158 km/h in
both cars.
Dacia is also offering the Height Adjustment pack as
standard to the Ambiance trim level, which consists of height adjustment for
the driver's seat, steering wheel, and seatbelts, and was previously available
as an option.
Prices for the Sandero Laureate SCe 75 start from
£ 8,595 (US$ 11,170), while the Logan MCV Laureate SCe 75 can be had from £ 9,895
(US$ 12,860). Both of them can already be ordered, but deliveries will begin later
this year.
