This isn’t the first time Fiat has partnered with a
retail brand on one of its models, and we bet that it won’t be the last either.
Yet this particular collaboration, which Fiat has with French perfume house
Guerlain, really has us thinking of how far the former is going to go with
these kinds of partnerships.
Don’t take that the wrong way, as Fiat has hit some
home runs with some of its past retail tieups. It’s just that this one strikes
us as a little weird because we don’t usually see perfume makers diving into
the automotive world. Having said all that, we actually do find something
surprisingly interesting about the La Petite Robe Noire 500 and 500C.
The model is available in the coupe and cabriolet
versions of the 500, and it comes with a load of unique features, highlighted
by an interior that’s been dressed in a bi-color black and white Poltrona Frau
leather upholstery. There’s also a
clothing hanger on the passenger headrest. Tinted rear windows are also part of
the package, as are rear parking sensors, bi-xenon headlamps and a rear wing
that also comes with a dynamic silhouette created by Kuntzel+Deygas.
And just because Guerlain was highly involved in the
development of all 250 units of this special edition 500, anybody who purchases
one will also receive a 100 ml bottle of the La Petite Robe Noire perfume, as
well as a makeup kit that includes 30ml of Velvet Body Milk, black mascara,
nail lacquer and Terracotta 4 Seasons in Tint Nude powder.
The Fiat 500 La Petite Robe Noire Edition will set
you back 15,700 Euros (US$ 21,360 at the current exchange rates) with all
models predictably earmarked for the French market.
