If you ever felt like wanting a proper one-off
Lamborghini, this might do the trick, it’s the 2006 Lamborghini Concept S and the only fully functional example in the world.
It was first presented as a non-running design study
in 2005 and basically is an extreme spyder version of the Gallardo, with twin
cockpits side by side.
One year later. the fully functional example you see
here was ready, featuring redesigned windscreens that were lowered for
homologation purposes. Lamborghini intended to build 100 cars for its best
customers, but the whole project was abandoned due to the exceedingly high cost
and time-consuming production of the Concept S.
After failing to sell at a 2015 auction, this
beautiful one-off Lamborghini is ready to cross the auction block again, this
time at the RM Sothebys Monterey event on August 18. It has covered just 180km (111 miles) since
new and has participated twice at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
