Opel has opened the order books for the all-new
Insignia Country Tourer in Germany, where it starts from € 34,885 (US$ 40,831), tax
included. The first units of the car
will arrive at dealers shortly after it will debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor
Show, and they will be equipped with a wide range of standard features.
The list includes the hill start assist, front
camera, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection, automatic city
emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, following distance
indication, and high beam assist.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone
connectivity is also offered at no extra cost, on the Radio R 4.0 IntelliLink
infotainment system, along with the OnStar services, two-zone climate control,
keyless entry and go, and others.
The engine lineup includes the 2.0-liter gasoline
and diesel units, rated at 260 PS and 170 PS. The
latter can also be had with the optional all-wheel drive. Opel says that an
even more power diesel lump will join the lineup in the near future, in
addition to the 1.5-liter turbo'd gasoline engine that delivers 165 PS.
Those in the market for the new Opel Insignia
Country Tourer can also specify it with the Exclusive program, a new
personalization concept that allows buyers to choose the color they want.
Moreover, the Black Pack, which is available with Opel Exclusive, gives the car
a high gloss black grille bar, window trim strips, side mirror casings, and
others.
A wide range of light alloy wheels are also part
of the personalization program, and so are the leather interior options and
decorative elements.
Opel says that
every Exclusive model has standard features such as the Navi 900 IntelliLink
with an 8-inch color touchscreen, solar protect heat-absorbing glazing, and LED
matrix lights. Prices for the Opel
Insignia Country Tourer Exclusive start from € 35,885 (US$ 42,002).
