The next-generation Porsche Cayenne was spotted last year undergoing various trials, and now it’s been sighted just about completely undisguised as it nears its debut later this year. The upcoming Cayenne will be built upon the new MLB Evo platform which allows for significant weight savings.

We expect that the latest iteration of Porsche’s first SUV will take a leaf out of the Panamera book in adopting electrification for its range-topping variant, with powertrain options expected to include the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid’s 680 hp and 850 Nm combo, along with the more common six-cylinder turbo mills in petrol and diesel forms.

To recap what we currently know about the upcoming Cayenne, we’ve seen the new Leipzig-built SUV sporting a new interior and dashboard layout more akin to that in the present Panamera, with a much more minimalist layout cleaned of many buttons from the present model’s centre console.

The new Panamera’s updated Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with Porsche Connect is expected to make a showing here in the SUV too. The new Porsche Cayenne is expected To make a home ground debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year.
