Highlighted by a number of unique exterior features
and near-luxury interior attributes, the Beetle Cabriolet Karmann is based on
the "Design" equipment line, which includes a wind deflector and the Park
Pilot parking distance monitor and can be ordered in any engine and
transmission configurations.
Engine options thus include anything from the
2.5-liter to the turbo 2.0-liter units, as well as the more frugal TDI Clean
Diesel oil burner, while transmission offerings consists of a six-speed manual
and a six-speed dual-clutch.
Making the Beetle Karmann stand out of the pack is a
set of 18-inch "Disc" design wheels fitted with chrome caps and a
Sioux Brown electric top that can be paired with seven different exterior body
paints. In addition, a Karmann badge mounted on the front fender tells that
this Beetle ain’t a regular bug.
Once the doors are open, a set of Karmann-branded
sills show up beneath them, while the sports seats are complemented by a leather-wrapped
steering wheel and sporty, aluminum-crafted pedals. Rounding off the unique
interior is a matte-aluminum dash pad.
