Although a VW GTI does not need a performance boost in the first place, Pete’s Automotive has released a tuning kit regardless. It includes a slew of upgrades under the hood, leaving the aesthetics stock.

The VW GTI has a 1.8L TSI four-cylinder turbopetrol engine producing 189 hp and 250 Nm of torque in stock configuration. With a Stage 2 Pete’s Performance Remap, Milltek Exhaust system, Forge Motorsport intake system and blow-off valve, the tuned GTI outputs 250 hp and 380 Nm of torque. The GTI also has Bilstein B14 Suspension kit, H&R Wheel Spacers and 17-inch Borbet rims wrapped in 215/40 R17 Falken tires.

Thanks to GST and discounts, the GTI now costs INR 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It was launched at INR 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) with less than 100 units allocated for the Indian market. Based on three door version, it has GTI badges, a new honeycomb mesh grille, red accents in the LED headlamps, sportier bumpers and interior.
