2017 Hyundai Verna specifications have been revealed
via Team BHP. The latest info confirms that the new Verna will retain the
engine options of the car it replaces along with automatic and manual
transmission choices.
The 2017
Hyundai Verna petrol gets the 1.4 L Kappa and 1.6 L Gamma Petrol engines. The
former will have a power output of 107 PS and a peak torque of 135 Nm, while
the latter puts out 123 PS and 155 Nm. A 5-speed manual transmission will be
standard while a 4-speed torque converter will be optional on the 1.6 L petrol
variant. These specifications are identical to the current car.
As for the 2017 Hyundai Verna diesel, it gets the
1.4 L U2 CRDi diesel with 90 PS and 220 Nm on tap and a 1.6 L U2 CRDi diesel
with power and torque output of 128 PS and 260 Nm respectively. Apart from the
standard 6-speed manual transmission, a 4-speed automatic will be offered with
the 1.6 diesel variant.
The 2017 Hyundai Verna launch is confirmed for this
month. Bookings for the car are open at some Hyundai dealerships unofficially.
