two-tone alloy wheels from a Bengaluru dealership, courtesy International
Business Times.
The Suzuki Gixxer is currently available in three
colour schemes: Pearl Mira Red & Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue
& Glass Sparkle Black, and Glass Sparkle Black. The model here features the
Pearl Mira Red & Sparkle Black colour combination. Its alloy wheels also
have the same two-tone colour scheme. It is unknown at this point if the
Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black finished model is also available with
the two-tone wheels.
The 2017 Suzuki Gixxer is 2,050 mm long, 785 mm wide
and 1,030 mm tall, and has a 1,030 mm-long wheelbase. The naked street bike has
a seat height of 780 mm and offers a ground clearance of 160 mm. It is powered
by a 154.9 cc air-cooled engine that develops 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of
torque at 6,000 rpm. There’s a 5-speed transmission to channel drive to the
wheel.
The 2017 Suzuki Gixxer is available in rear drum
brake and rear disc brake variants. The rear drum brake variant is priced at
INR 78,712 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). The Gixxer rear disc brake variant is
priced at INR 81,817 (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
The two-tone alloy wheel option is exclusive to the
rear disc brake variant. It is priced at INR 90,900 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), as
per IBT’s report. The premium for just two-tone alloy wheels seems exorbitant,
and the chances are that the reported price is on-road. Expect Suzuki to make
an official announcement shortly.
