Ford has announced that the 2018 F-150 truck has
gained fuel economy and towing capacity. The 2018 F-150 is rated for 20 MPG
city and 26 MPG highway with a rating of 22 MPG combined. The truck also is
rated for more towing making it best-in-class with 13,200 pound tow rating when
properly equipped.
The truck is also offered with standard start-stop
and the first 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The truck has a
tougher design and a high-strength military-grade aluminum-alloy body and box.
Ford also gives the truck an available Pre-collision
Assist with Pedestrian Detection system and adaptive cruise control, which is a
first for the class. A WiFi hotspot is also available for the truck.
