Lexus is getting ready to introduce a new 2018 version of the LX 570 in Russia and the Middle East called ‘Superior’ and the first grainy pics of it somehow found their way online ahead of its reveal.

The new Superior version (the LX 570S in the Middle East) will be part of a subtle MY2018 update to the big Lexus truck, which remains one of the last body-on-frame luxury off-roaders available in the market.

There isn’t much information about it but the new version wants to offer a sportier vibe, courtesy of the new body kit that includes new front and rear bumpers, deeper side sills, bigger wheels and a new, black version of the predator grille which also appears to have gained a different mesh design. The cabin is expected to follow the sportier intentions of the exterior, featuring aluminum pedals and a new red interior with black accents.

On the engine front, we don’t expect to see any changes: Lexus offers the LX 570 with a 5.7-liter V8 that makes 372 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque. Russian customers also get the option of a diesel LX 450d, powered by a 4.5-liter V8 with 272 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, which isn’t expected to be offered with the new Superior trim.
