Cadillac has unveiled a special edition of the CTS-V
sport sedan to celebrate the brand’s 115th birthday. The 2018 Glacier Metallic
Edition is painted in a “smoky light gray” color and only 115 of the cars will
be made. Cadillac CTS-V fans will be able to order one of the 105 available
versions immediately via Cadillac dealers around the country.
Presumably those other ten special editions are
earmarked for Cadillac executives and VIPs. Along with the special color, the
car gets standard illuminated door handles, red brembo brake calipers, carbon
fiber package, luxury package, and 19-inch forged polished finish alloy wheels.
Inside the car gets RECARO sport seats, Performance Data Recorder with COSWORTH
Toolbox analysis software, UltraView sunroof, and a Rear Camera mirror.
Power comes from the 6.2L supercharged V8 engine
with 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels via an
8-speed transmission with Performance Algorithm Shifting. The car also has five
track-oriented modes for the traction control system. Buyers who plunk down
thier US$ 103,885 will also get a 2-day performance driving academy.
