A Ford dealer from Mumbai showcased the Ford Aspire Tour at last month’s PRAWAAS 2017 auto exhibition in Navi Mumbai. It is essentially the standard car but with a T-permit that allows it to be registered as a commercial vehicle.

The Ford Aspire Tour is available in Ambiente, Trend, and Titanium trims with the same features as the respective variants of the standard car. The model here appears to be the Titanium trim as it features alloy wheels and front fog lamps. It also features an integrated 2-DIN audio unit that supports Bluetooth, USB and AUX. Other features include auto aircon, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and a multifunction steering wheel.

With the Ford Aspire Tour, Ford is targeting the cab market, which will help push sales beyond the current monthly average of just under 2,000 units. Ford is also offering the Aspire in a stripped out Base trim specifically to fleet operators.

Like the standard car, Ford Aspire Tour is available with 88 Hp 1.2 L Ti-VCT petrol and 100 Hp 1.5 L TDCi diesel engines mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The two variants have a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.16 km/l and 25.83 km/l respectively.

According to the price list provided by the dealer at the auto show, the Ford Aspire Tour with T-permit petrol range starts at INR 6.27 lakhs (on-road Mumbai). Diesel variants are priced from INR 7.42 lakhs (on-road Mumbai). Also present at PRAWAAS 2017 was the low-cost Maruti Tour S based on the second generation Dzire targeting the taxi market.
