Mahindra has started testing the Mahindra KUV100
facelift, IAB’s exclusive spy shots revealed last month. Team-BHP forum
Ashutosh has created a rendering to preview the new Mahindra KUV100.
With the facelift, the Mahindra KUV100 will feature
new headlamp graphics with revised LED DRLs, sharper toothed grille and
restyled bumper to adjust with the inverted (upper) central air intake. At the
sides, the SUV-styled hatchback will receive new 15-inch alloy wheels. At the
back, spy photos hint minor changes to the tail lamp details and the bumper,
but we are yet to get a clear look.
Interior changes, if planned, are unknown. Just
revising the trim and/or upholstery is probably not going to work. The current
model feels dated in technology, and Mahindra may decide to offer a touchscreen
infotainment system with Android Auto, Connected Apps and more.
The Mahindra KUV100‘s engine options (mFALCON G80
petrol & mFALCON D75 diesel) will likely remain unchanged post facelift. The
car is less than two years old, and Mahindra may save major changes for a later
date. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 82 bhp and 115 Nm of torque, while
the 1.2-litre diesel engine develops 77 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Both engines
send power to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel
economy of both models, petrol (18.15 km/l) and diesel (25.32 km/l), should
remain the same.
Available in 5-seat (2+3) and 6-seat (3+3) versions,
the Mahindra KUV100 is priced from INR 4,58,282-7,35,632 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Mahindra has confirmed that the refreshed KUV100 will arrive this year.
