Mercedes-Benz India launched the Mercedes GLC Celebration Edition to commemorate 70 years of Indian Independence this month. Here is the special edition GLC’s live images, courtesy Mr Akash from The Automotive India.


The Mercedes GLC Celebration Edition features a number of sporty exterior and interior accessories. These include the ‘Designo Hyacinth red’ paint option to the GLC in India. The list of accessories have the LED puddle lamps that project the three-pointed star logo, high gloss black ORVM housing, sports pedals, Garmin Map Pilot SD card for navigation, chrome trim which gives the splitter a distinctive accent, and a rear trim strip in chrome.

The Mercedes GLC Celebration Edition is available in GLC 220 d diesel and GLC 300 petrol models. Mercedes-Benz mentions no mechanical changes for the GLC Celebration Edition. It gets the 2.0-litre petrol (245 hp/370 Nm) and 2.1-litre diesel (170 hp/400 Nm) engines as the regular model. 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission is standard, and so is the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.


The Mercedes GLC 220 d Celebration Edition is priced at INR 50.86 lakh (ex-showroom all-India). The Mercedes GLC 300 Celebration Edition retails at INR 51.25 lakh (ex-showroom all-India).
