Official images of the ArcFox Lite, a new electric mini car for China. ArcFox is a new brand
under Beijing Auto, focused on making ‘cool’ and somewhat premium
electric cars for the young an hip.
It has an aluminium body shell and
composite panels, which Beijing Auto says will keep weight down. But they don’t
say how much the car weighs. They do say that it is powered by a 49 hp electric
motor and that it has a range of 200 kilometers. Charging on a fast charger
takes just 30 minutes for 80% battery.
There are LED displays up front and on the back, the
driver can input his own text and graphics. The Lite will launch in October. Price is yet
unknown and it is hard to make an estimate as there simply aren’t any other
locally made premium mini EVs around.
