Toyota displayed modified vehicles with enhanced
styling at GIIAS 2017, including the Toyota Hilux TRD and Toyota Yaris TRD
Sportivo. Here are live images from the venue.
The Toyota Hilux TRD is based on the Toyota Hilux
dual-cab V 4×4. The TRD variant sports TRD front skirt, distinctive lower
grille, black hood vent, LED DRLs surrounding the fog lamps, special black
wheels and TRD sport bar. It is powered by the 2KD-FTV VNT 2.5-litre diesel
engine that produces 144 PS and 35 kg.m of torque. The engine is
paired to a 5-speed automatic transmission. A four-wheel drive system is
standard.
Toyota has modified the Toyota Yaris TRD Sportivo
with special styling for GIIAS 2017. The hood and ORVMs have a carbon-fibre
look to them. The six double-spoke alloy wheels further add to the uniqueness
of the car. The roof follows the grey theme set by the hood and ORVMs. The
Toyota Yaris TRD Sportivo is powered by the 2NR-FE 1.5-litre petrol engine good
for 107 PS and 14.3 kg.m of torque. This engine is paired to a
5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission.
