TVS has launched a new variant of the Jupiter,
called the TVS Jupiter Classic Edition. The scooter gets a number of cosmetic
additions like a windshield, chromed rear-view mirrors, ‘Sunlit Ivory’ body
colour and special ‘Classic’ decals to name a few.
The scooter also gets chrome backrest with cushion,
chrome-tipped handlebar ends, smart USB charger and 220 mm disc brake at the
front. The seats are dual-tone with premium stitching. The instrument dial is
also redesigned to gel with the Classic theme. The instrument cluster features
TVS’ patented Econometer with Eco and Power modes.
The Jupiter Classic Edition costs INR 55,266,
ex-showroom, Delhi and will be available across all TVS dealership in the
country. The scooter uses the same 109.7 cc single cylinder OHC engine which
gives out 8 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.4 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. A CVT
unit transmits the power.
The Jupiter uses telescopic forks at the front and a
gas-charged monoshock at the rear. For the rear, the scooter uses a 130 mm drum
brake. 90-section tubeless tyre wrap the 12-inch front and rear black alloy
wheels. Other notable features include external fuel cap and a patented E-Z
centre stand.
