IME Group, the authorised distributor of UM
motorcycles in Nepal, has showcased the UM DSR Hypersport at the 2017 NADA Auto
Show.
UM has designed the bike to tackle the urban jungle,
and is apparent from the Supermoto design. The DSR Hypersport employs a 223 cc
single-cylinder air-and-oil-cooled engine. The powerplant makes 16.2 PS of
power at 7,500 rpm and 17.69 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine pairs with a
5-speed gearbox. The claimed top speed stands at 115.2 km/h.
The bike uses upside down front fork with gold
finishing, and a monoshock at the rear. The 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels are
shod with 110-section at the front and 130-section at the rear. The tyres have
Anti-Flat Sealant (AFS) which helps in mitigating punctures effectively.
Brakes include petal type discs on both ends (265 mm
front and 220 mm rear), and ABS is absent. The bike features a 15-litre fuel
tank and a ground clearance of 270 mm. The motorcycle gets an analogue-digital
instrument cluster with UM’s exclusive SAM (System Auto Maintenance) feature.
This feature lets the rider know when maintenance is required. There is a USB
port as well, to charge the electronic devices.
The UM DSR Hypersport is available in four colours,
namely: Red, Black, Blue and Grey.
