Audi India has added a petrol variant to the Q7 in
the form of the Audi Q7 40 TFSI. Prices of the Audi Q7 petrol start at INR
67.76 lakhs (ex-showroom). Like the diesel variant, the petrol Q7 is also
available in two trims – Premium Plus and Technology Pack.
Under the hood of the Audi Q7 petrol lies a 1,984 cc
four cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. It has a maximum power output of 185
kW at 5,000-6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 370 Nm at 1,600-4,500 rpm. Power is
sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Audi Q7
petrol can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and can achieve a top
speed of 233 km/h. Audi is claiming an overall fuel efficiency of 11.68 km/l.
Visually, there are no telling differences between
the petrol and diesel variants. The only giveaway is the ’40 TFSI’ badge on the
tailgate. In terms of features, the list is identical. Noteworthy exterior
features include Matrix LED Headlamps with signature DRLs, wide sculptured 3D
single frame grille, 19 inch 5 spoke alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof.
Colours available include Carrara white, Floret silver, Graphite gray, Orca
black and Ink blue.
The cabin gets a high-resolution retractable MMI
display, ambient lighting with 30 combinations, genuine Cricket Leather
upholstery in black and beige and a seven seater configuration. Audi Drive
Select lets the driver choose from Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, Individual and
Off-road modes. The Q7 also gets four zone automatic climate control, electrically
adjustable front seats with driver side memory, electrically foldable 3rd-row
seats. Auto Park Assist and 360-degree Surround Camera, Audi smartphone
interface for Apple Carplay & Android Auto, Audi Phone Box with Wireless
Qi-charging and a 558 watt BOSE 3D Surround Sound System.
