Audi made a few adjustments to their A6 family a few
months ago, wrapping them under the 2018MY, but it appears that they're not
quite done yet. Quoting an order guide that they managed to get their hands on,
CarsDirect reports that there's a fourth trim level coming to join the Premium,
Premium Plus, and Prestige grade.
It's called Audi A6 Sport, and it will be apparently
launched with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine and front-wheel
drive, in base form, or a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 unit and all-wheel drive.
The former is believed to become available from US$ 52,175, destination charge
included, while the latter should start at US$ 58,975.
Standard features on the new Audi A6 Sport are the
Black Optic Package, with its dark-themed grille, headlights, and side mirror
casings, adjustable power-folding mirrors with heating function, and several
driver assist technologies, such as the Pre Sense Rear, and blind spot
monitoring.
If the automaker hasn’t convinced you to
spend your money on this A6, then you should probably wait for the new
generation of the car, which is due in 2018, with an evolutionary design, and
plenty of gadgets inside. It will be underpinned by the MLB architecture and
come with an assortment of diesel and gasoline engines, in addition to the
performance-oriented variants, and rumored PHEV.
